Cultivation Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cultivation Technician to join our team at Green Thumb Industries. As a Cultivation Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert care and maintenance to our cannabis plants, ensuring they grow healthy and strong. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in meeting our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Care
• Topping and bottoming plants to promote healthy growth
• Transplanting and defoliating plants to optimize yields
• Tending to various growing mediums and monitoring plant health
• Scouting for diseases and pests to prevent infestations
• Training plants to maximize growth and productivity
• Adhering to national grow models and standards

Harvest and Sanitation

• Preparing the harvest room for plant removal
• Harvesting and processing plants for drying and curing
• Defoliating and breaking down plants for optimal drying
• Cleaning and sanitizing the dry and flower rooms

Safety and Compliance

• Identifying and reporting hazards in the workspace
• Completing department-specific training and adhering to protocols
• Reporting safety incidents and concerns to management
• Complying with state regulations and PPE requirements
• Following GMP, biosecurity, and sanitation procedures
• Accurately recording and maintaining plant data

Working Conditions

• Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels
• Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds with care and caution
• Working at heights using catwalk platforms, ladders, and scaffolds
• Daily exposure to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certifications preferred
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years
• Valid state ID and ability to obtain state badging requirements
