Clear Sight Partners, LLC: Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor to join our team at Clear Sight Partners, LLC.

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, vision benefits, 401(k) and match, PTO, and eight paid holidays.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee a team of ophthalmic technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional patient care and clinic efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and Operations: Schedule technicians to meet clinic demands, fill gaps in coverage as needed, and maintain efficient workflow.
  • Training and Development: Ensure all technicians receive comprehensive training, audits charts for accuracy, and conducts time studies to optimize performance.
  • Quality Control: Implement site-specific policies, ensure equipment maintenance, and educate technicians on proper usage and troubleshooting.
  • Performance Management: Address technician performance issues, provide feedback, and work with the Practice Manager to address concerns.
  • Clinical Support: Collaborate with physicians to resolve patient concerns, complaints, or questions, and coordinate repairs or replacements for damaged equipment.

Requirements

  • Certification: Current Certification of Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in ophthalmology, preferably with leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, ability to motivate and guide teams, and demonstrate initiative.
