Software Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in algorithm development, software scripting, and data structures.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work on developing algorithms for mission data processing and contribute to the design and prototyping of next-generation software for space missions. This role involves working with a small team environment, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the growth and success of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and debug software modules for M&S frameworks, M&S tools, and mission data processing algorithms.
  • Develop and maintain source code, documentation, and test configurations.
  • Perform all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including coding, automated testing, and configuration management.
  • Implement Agile development tools to manage work and collaborate with teams.
  • Provide technical documentation and participate in design, code, and software peer reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum two years of experience programming in scripting languages such as Matlab and Python.
  • Minimum two semesters of data structures / algorithms coursework.
  • Experience transforming algorithm concepts into functioning software.
  • DoD SECRET clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant technology or engineering field.
  • Experience on Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with software version control tools.
  • Prior internship experience.

Compensation:

$55,250.00 - $99,875.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
