Advanced System Architect for Space Infrastructure

About the Role
">We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced System Architect for Space Infrastructure to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems for space-based applications.
">Key Responsibilities

- Develop system build flows and test operations based on established system requirements and subsystem designs.">
- Follow engineering, lab, and safety standards to ensure the successful integration and documentation of systems.">
- Plan and execute functional, electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests at subsystem and payload system levels.">
- Integrate, troubleshoot, and debug subsystems and payload systems using modern tools and techniques.">
- Evaluate proposed subsystem designs for manufacturability and integration.">
- Design and execute system and subsystem performance and functional tests.">
- Collaborate with managers and leads to provide input to schedules and other project artifacts as required.">
- Create, maintain, and communicate detailed schedules, ensuring the team is aware of tasks and deadlines.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 8+ years' experience.">
- Development experience in aerospace or space systems, with a strong preference for payload experience such as IR sensors.">
- Experience defining and executing Assembly, Manufacturing, and Integration plans.">
- Hands-on assembly and integration experience in one or more of the following areas: Optical Assemblies, Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems, High Speed Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, and Electrical and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (GSE).">
- Strong electrical and mechanical systems engineering intuition and critical thinking skills.">
- Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to work with personnel from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.">
- Ability to accurately estimate complexity and duration of AI&T tasks.">
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.">
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in San Diego, California.">
Salary Range
">$104,650 - $189,175 per year.
