Position Overview

The role of the Field Operations Specialist involves executing practical tasks while utilizing Weatherford's advanced equipment and systems. This position requires the application of established techniques and practices to fulfill assignments as outlined in technical manuals and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts functional tests, inspections, and monitoring of equipment, strictly adhering to specific operational guidelines based on training and competence.
  • Evaluates used components to assess changes in dimensional specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Implements maintenance protocols, including unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual inspections, assembly, and storage of tools, ensuring all documentation is completed as required.
  • Manages the rigging up and down of equipment in accordance with established work instructions.
  • Performs cleaning, lubrication, repairs, and operation of equipment as per documented procedures.
  • Adheres to Weatherford policies and complies with all Standard Operating Procedures and Workplace Practices.
  • Engages in daily operations and safety meetings, including toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), promptly reporting any issues using the appropriate channels.
  • Maintains equipment, facilities, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Technical Work Instructions while executing assignments to the highest quality standards within required timeframes.
Experience & Education

Required:
  • 2.5 to 4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • High School Diploma.
Preferred:
  • Basic computer proficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:
  • Fundamental mathematics skills.
  • Ability to perform maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and monitoring of equipment.
  • Strong critical thinking, active learning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective reading and writing abilities, along with sound judgment and decision-making skills aligned with policies and procedures.
  • Time management capabilities.
  • Quality control analysis to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
  • Ability to organize tasks and anticipate potential issues, understanding solutions where applicable.
  • Proficient in operating tools and machinery effectively and efficiently.
  • Capacity to visualize assembly, repair, or modification processes.
Travel Requirements:
This position may necessitate domestic and potentially international travel of up to 50-75%.
