Polysomnographic Technologist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, as well as providing supervision and training to Polysomnographic Trainees.
Responsibilities
- Perform mask fitting and implement therapeutic interventions as needed, ensuring accurate titration and documentation of results.
- Review patient history, physical information, and medication to ensure accurate testing and analysis.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to established protocols, ensuring artifact-free studies and accurate data collection.
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to AASM standards, generating accurate reports and charts for physician interpretation.
- Work cooperatively with staff members to achieve departmental and organizational goals, attending staff meetings and in-services as needed.
- Understand and observe OSHA standards, universal precautions, and other applicable federal and state regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred or successful completion of a polysomnography program.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
- Experience with sleep equipment and CPAP equipment required.
