About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our sleep center, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, as well as providing supervision and training to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough sleep studies, including mask fitting and titration, to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
  • Review patient history, physical information, and medication to ensure accurate testing and interpretation.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to established protocols, and perform polysomnographic data acquisition to ensure artifact-free studies.
  • Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac events, limb movements, and arousals, according to AASM standards.
  • Generate accurate reports and complete charts for physician interpretation.
  • Work collaboratively with staff members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee, with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
  • Polysomnography Technologist License and AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
