Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Accurate Estimator and Automotive Specialist to join our team at Norwalk Auto Auction.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to provide accurate estimates for repair work, ensuring efficiency in body estimations and appraisals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and appraisals according to industry standards and insurance company regulations. You will also be required to take pictures of vehicles being inspected and perform automotive body work, including interior tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates and appraisals for body work according to company, insurance company, and industry standards.
  • Take pictures of vehicles being inspected to document condition.
  • Perform automotive body work, including interior tasks, to ensure accurate repairs.
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a neat and organized workspace to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • 1+ year experience in body work or automotive estimation and appraisal required.
  • Ability to work outdoors with consistent physical movement to give estimates on vehicle condition.
  • iPad estimating capability and proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Certification or designation in automotive repair a plus.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety and customer service oriented.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred.
  • Must conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • Unrestricted California driver's license and clean driving record.
