The One 23 Group is seeking a highly skilled Database / System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain metadata standards and strategy in conjunction with data governance leadership.
- Create process and manage key agency projects to oversee delivery consistent with data governance guidelines.
- Participate in IC driven Data Standards committees and team discussions regarding data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of the Intelligence Community Data Lakes and Warehouses.
- Design and oversee development of stewardship dashboards and related reporting and workflows associated with the metadata tools.
- Plan and manage the development of efficient metadata ingestion processes with the goal of keeping the enterprise metadata repository synchronized with source systems.
- Perform full system upgrades and repairs (Linux and Windows).
- Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues.
- Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery while maintaining a log of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics.
- Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and install software releases and upgrades.
- Evaluate and install security patches.
- Create and ensures operation of Active Directory and DNS.
- Create accounts and set up user specific access while maintaining group policies and procedures.
- Acquire system accreditation and ensures personnel comply with system security policies.
Requirements:
- 10+ Years of related field or work experience.
- Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Intermediate to advanced experience using Oracle RDBMS.
- Intermediate to advanced experience using postgreSQL RDBMS.
- Ability to create and run PowerShell applications.
- Intermediate to advanced experience in Windows/Linux Administration.
- Intermediate to advanced experience using Tomcat and JBoss Servers.
Desired:
- Experience with PHP, Python, C#, C++.
- Experience using the Intelligence Community computer systems, non-cloud web servers, AWS cloud, security, and familiarity with the Enterprise computer network.
- Experience within software/web development field with both government and/or commercial experience.
- Experience with relational database and performing database administration using SQL.
- Experience with ColdFusion.
- Experience working with AngularJS, Web Services, SQL, and MySQL.
- Experience with Enterprise Services such as PeopleSoft, GEOAxIS, etc.
- Experience with other languages as applicable (Python, Model Glue, etc.)
