About the Role

The Plant Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the overall performance of the facility, ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost controls. This role oversees the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of our Jessup and Baltimore manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to safety standards.
  • Direct the planning, organization, and optimization of day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Drive production growth, increase line capacity, and enhance crew flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure the safe production of quality products delivered on-time and in-full to customers.
  • Oversee the overall production output of the facilities and their continued optimization.
  • Strategically allocate resources, including people, raw materials, machinery, and facilities.
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions for unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Analyze data to reduce waste and develop corrective actions.
  • Implement systems and processes to track performance, optimize productivity, and achieve high returns on capital employed.
  • Manage manufacturing cost structures within budget and explore cost-reduction measures.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve and maintain manufacturing processes.
  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive work atmosphere.
  • Influence, mentor, and learn from direct and indirect reports.
  • Maintain awareness of individual contributions to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management position.
  • Proven knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and factory leadership processes.
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and computer technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes, with the ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good understanding of National and Local regulatory requirements for plant operations.
