About the Role

The Plant Manager will oversee the overall performance of the facility, ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost controls. This individual will direct the coordination of all manufacturing departments' functions to ensure compliance with company objectives, improve quality systems, and increase customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and promote a safe work environment, adhering to safety standards.
  • Direct the planning, organizing, and optimal running of day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Optimize production, line capacity, and crew flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Ensure the safe production of quality products delivered to customers on-time and in-full.
  • Oversee the overall production output of the facilities and their continued optimization.
  • Strategically allocate resources, including people, raw materials, machinery, and facilities.
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions for unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintain a high housekeeping standard and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Analyze data to reduce waste and develop corrective actions.
  • Implement systems and processes to track performance and optimize productivity and standards.
  • Manage manufacturing cost structures within budget and explore cost-reduction measures.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve and maintain manufacturing processes.
  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive work atmosphere.
  • Influence, mentor, and learn from direct and indirect reports.
  • Maintain awareness of individual contributions to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management position.
  • Proven knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and factory leadership processes.
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and computer technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes, with the ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good understanding of National and Local regulatory requirements for plant operations.
