Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Manager will oversee the implementation and monitoring of the company's quality control and assurance programs, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and product specifications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and define responsibilities of QA/QC personnel and assign individual tasks as required.
  • Support senior management with the implementation of the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives, ensuring they are communicated and understood by all employees.
  • Work with supervisors and managers to develop and train on facility procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure the training matrix and employee training records are properly maintained.
  • Manage the calibration program for facility measurement and test equipment.
  • Manage the Internal Audit Process.
  • Manage document control activities to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Oversee the Corrective Action and non-conformance processes.
  • Manage Third-party inspectors, job data packages, and inspection releases as required.
  • Oversee the annual Management Review.
  • Perform Trend Analysis on NCRs and CPARs.
  • Oversee monitoring and measuring equipment calibration programs.
  • Participate in Material Review Board activities.
  • Perform failure analysis and written reports in response to Quality Action Requests of products.
  • Work with plant engineering and production departments in support of continuous improvement activities.
  • Administer Management of Change and Risk Assessment activities.
  • Serve as Management Representative for the facility.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years QA/QC experience.
  • Education requirement may be waived in lieu of relevant experience and demonstrated behavioral and technical competencies.

  • Effective communication across all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Prioritization in the absence of complete information.
  • Leadership to team members, especially in times of crisis or conflict.

Technical Skills
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Blueprint reading and dimensional inspection.
  • Basic statistical methods.

Work Environment

Working conditions are typical for both factory and office environments. Exposure to chemicals, noise, and hot or cold temperatures is likely. Work requires less than 10% domestic business travel. May require evening and weekend work.


Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
