Fiber Optic Cable Splicing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our innovative team and play a vital role in building the backbone of modern communication.
A successful Fiber Splicer shall be responsible for proper preparation and splicing of fiber optic cable within a telecommunications system.
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure, familiarity with fiber optic cable, splice enclosures, and the functionality of each, as well as the ability to use OTDR and fusion splicing equipment.
The position requires the ability to read fiber matrices, interpret and analyze data, and identify and troubleshoot problems.
Responsibilities include completion of low-level and high-level labor-intensive tasks, operation of assigned construction equipment, and completion of daily production reports.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications include 2 years of related work experience, proficiency in the use of hand tools and equipment, and authorization to work in the United States.
The workplace environment and physical demands of the position include the ability to climb and work aloft, sit or stand for long periods, work independently, and work in cramped and/or enclosed spaces.
