Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
- Conduct ongoing education and training for patients and their families on hemodialysis treatment and related health issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and mentor Patient Care Technicians, LPNs/LVNs, and RNs as a Team Leader or designated Nurse in Charge.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current appropriate state licensure.
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
- Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) Visa Screen Certificate or NCLEX pass letter or Registered Nursing License in the state of intended employment.
The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Day-to-day work includes desk work, computer work, interaction with patients, facility/hospital staff, and physicians. May be asked to provide essential functions of this position in other locations with the same physical demands and working conditions as described above.
