Job Overview

Duncaster Inc, a reputable Life Plan community, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to residents in our senior living facilities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse who can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering medications, providing physical comfort, and ensuring a safe environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Administer medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to physician orders and Duncaster policies.
  • Document resident care according to established nursing practice standards, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Provide treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians, promoting optimal resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, share knowledge, and support colleagues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our care delivery processes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical experience in nursing, preferably in geriatric care.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as MatrixCare (desired).
Compensation and Benefits

As a valued member of our team, you can expect:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $40.00, with shift differentials ($2.00 p/h weekday evenings, nights & weekend days, $3.00 p/h weekend evenings and weekend nights).
