The primary role of the IT/IA professional involves collaboration within Special Access Programs (SAPs) to support various Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. This position entails providing essential daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage complex operational software configurations and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
- Oversee file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and maintain necessary system documentation.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
- Review, prepare, and update authorization packages as required.
- Inform clients of any changes that may impact authorization accreditation.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments as part of self-inspection checklists.
- Provide technical and cybersecurity coordination for all Bodies of Evidence within the authorization package.
- Identify vulnerabilities and implement effective countermeasures.
- Ensure that information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of according to security policies.
- Administer Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, including scheduling and configuration.
- Provide client support for external information systems.
- Manage account creation, modifications, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries.
- Perform help desk and troubleshooting activities.
- Oversee hardware and software system configurations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Conduct system and network appliance patching activities.
- Support government-issued laptop operations.
- Assist in media control and accountability tasks.
- Manage COMSEC account and equipment activities.
Required Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Previous roles as a System/Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialist; experience with SAP is preferred.
- Training: DoD M IAM Level II (in lieu of IAT Level II).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
Certifications:
- Must fulfill position and certification requirements as outlined in DoD Directive M for Information Assurance Technician Level II or Information Assurance Manager II within 6 months of hire.
Security Clearance:
- Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.
