We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permit Technician to join our team at SAFEbuilt. As a Permit Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery of privatized community development solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with customers to provide exceptional service and support for their building department-related needs.
  • Issue and track permits through the permitting process, from application acceptance to permit closure.
  • Develop and maintain organized systems for storing and retrieving files, letters, reference manuals, and other data.
  • Collaborate with plans examiners and inspectors to develop and ensure consistent processes.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of customer service and/or administrative experience.
  • Building and/or construction knowledge or background preferred.
  • Permitting experience preferred.
  • Municipal experience preferred.
  • ICC Permit Technician Certification a plus.
