Job Summary:

  • The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices. Data is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a way that demonstrates and supports the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion, and stewardship.
  • Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies' standards and Catholic Religious Directives.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician required.
  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician required within one year of hire date.

Work Schedule:

  • Evening/Night Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Every 3rd weekend & holiday - overnight shift from 11pm to 7am
  • Full time; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay:

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $31.75 per hour, dependent on experience.
