Position Overview
In the role of Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of both administrative and field construction operations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining quality standards and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects. You may oversee multiple medium-sized projects, a single large-scale initiative, or a specific segment of a complex project. Leading by example is essential, as you will uphold company standards, achieve project objectives, mentor team members, and promote a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project timelines, manage long lead items, and adjust project plans as required.
- Facilitate negotiations and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase agreements.
- Generate monthly project status updates, owner billings, and financial risk evaluations.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for value engineering and scope optimization.
- Ensure all team members and subcontractors are informed of the project safety protocols.
- Assist in preconstruction activities and manage the procurement process.
- Identify potential constructability challenges within project designs.
- Ensure adherence to contract stipulations, budgetary constraints, insurance requirements, and change orders.
- Advise on staff development needs and oversee job assignments.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years in construction and project management, showcasing leadership and mentorship capabilities. Experience with data center projects is highly advantageous.
- Project Scope: Proven experience managing projects valued between $20M and $200M.
- Skills: Strong business insight, sound judgment, effective communication, leadership, client engagement, negotiation, project oversight, construction expertise, decision-making, conflict resolution, adaptability, and analytical skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with project management and scheduling software (e.g., JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta) and the Microsoft Office Suite. Training on company protocols will be provided.
