Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Educator to join our Respiratory Therapy team at Elliot Health. As a Respiratory Educator, you will play a critical role in providing education, training, and support to our staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality respiratory care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement departmental orientation, competencies, and educational programs to enhance staff clinical competence.
- Provide just-in-time education to staff on patient care, new equipment, and policies and procedures.
- Support staff through routine rounds and communication to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with the department manager and other educational resources to develop and monitor educational programs.
- Coordinate clinical student rotations with affiliating accredited Respiratory Care education programs to provide a clinical experience for students.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required. Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or Bachelor's Degree in a closely related field required. Masters prepared in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of four years of clinical respiratory care experience in routine, acute, and emergency care areas required. Previous educator experience preferred.
- National Board of Respiratory Care RRT; current State of New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner License; BLS.
