Department Description

Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medication to patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Patient Assessment: Assess the clinical status of patients, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Drug Information: Provide accurate and timely drug information to the medical team, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions.
Requirements
  • Current Licensure: Hold current, unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure.
  • Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Education: Possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Communication: Possess effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues and exchange information with the healthcare team.
  • Computer Literacy: Demonstrate knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware, software, and applications.
