Job Title: Network Architect

Qualis Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to support the 96th Test Wing. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement WAN/LAN networks, including encryption, firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
  • Evaluate IT environments and identify security goals, vulnerabilities, objectives, and requirements.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified ISs and data using Air Force approved network engineering practices and information security standards.
  • Troubleshoot network hardware, including switches, routers, boundary protection, Cross-Domain Solutions, Data Diodes, and other network managed devices.
  • Establish and maintain networking environments by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
  • Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
  • Knowledge of Cyber analyst and troubleshooting tools and workflows, including SCAP, Nessus, Wireshark, Terminal Emulation, and NMap.
  • Secures network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access.
  • Ability to maintain DoD 8570 certifications in the following environments: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CCNA Security.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with 10 years of experience in Network administration, data warehousing, and secured data transmission.
  • Ability to quickly understand customers' overall technical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance with last investigation within 6 years.
