Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diversified accounting and auditing assignments under the direction of supervisor and manager
  • Participate in planning and scheduling client engagements
  • Prepare and index working papers; perform various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to verify accuracy and validity of client's financial matters
  • Develop a command of GAAP, other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
  • Effectively communicate with clients to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with a minimum of disruption
Requirements:
  • Meet all requirements to sit for CPA exam
  • Minimum of 5 years in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks as well as having in charge engagements
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience in the following industries a plus: Government and Not-For-Profit
