Job Description:
This role is integral to the Environmental Compliance team, supporting the operations of Comtec Consultants.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various environmental and engineering initiatives related to infrastructure projects, including renewable energy developments.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Securing necessary environmental permits across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Leading compliance efforts to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
- Formulating and negotiating mitigation strategies.
- Consulting on matters related to threatened and endangered species.
- Developing and reviewing erosion and sediment control plans.
- Managing stormwater initiatives and implementing avoidance and minimization measures.
- Conducting impact assessments and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation of knowledge and technical skills, recognized as experts in their field. They will lead by example, providing guidance and education to colleagues on complex technical issues, enhancing program effectiveness, and contributing significantly to organizational objectives.
Demonstrating ownership, they will tackle intricate problems using best practices and analytical techniques. A four-year degree in a relevant discipline is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience. An advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
