**Job Summary:**
The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the JCSI team, responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable functioning of our facilities. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role includes managing maintenance activities such as installation, inspection, testing, repair, and calibration of all plant equipment and instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities- **Maintenance Planning and Execution:** Plan, assign, and supervise daily maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- **Inspection and Compliance:** Conduct daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to operating procedures.
- **Collaboration and Communication:** Collaborate with the Operations department to prioritize maintenance work on a shift-to-shift basis, ensuring consistent communication and coordination.
- **Safety and Compliance:** Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards, including training and development of maintenance staff.
- **Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance:** Supervise mechanical and electrical maintenance functions, covering preventative, predictive, corrective, emergency, and warranty services.
- **Work Order Management:** Prepare and authorize work orders for equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- **Team Management:** Select, train, and evaluate the performance of maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and safety.
- **Contractor Management:** Oversee performance and safety compliance of outside contractors during plant maintenance and operations.
- **Equipment Maintenance:** Manage the maintenance of facility mobile equipment and maintain detailed records of plant maintenance activities.
- **CMMS Management:** Utilize and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) according to company policy.
- **Shop Management:** Oversee the Maintenance Shop, ensuring all equipment meets quality control standards.
- **Plant Cleanliness and Morale:** Maintain plant cleanliness and employee morale while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- **Safety Incident Investigation:** Enforce lockout/tagout procedures and ensure a safe working environment. Investigate and address any safety incidents promptly, in collaboration with the Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety Managers.
- **Communication and Problem-Solving:** Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, using various communication tools and methods. Anticipate and troubleshoot maintenance issues, taking proactive steps to prevent equipment failures.
- **Education:** Bachelors or Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- **Experience:** 3-5 years of experience in a power plant or similar environment. 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- **Knowledge and Skills:** In-depth knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations and maintenance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with CMMS.
- **Flexibility and Travel:** Flexibility to work nights during facility outages or major equipment projects. Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
- **Certifications and Licenses:** Relevant licenses as required by local, state, federal, environmental, and health/safety regulations.
