Job Description:

SmartHire is seeking a highly skilled HR Administrator to join their team in Addison, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's Human Resources functions, including plans, policies, benefits, and procedures for all employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll, benefits, and employee onboarding using ADP Workforce Management.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, prepare and update the employee handbook.
  • Oversee health, welfare, and retirement plans, manage enrollments, terminations, and record-keeping.
  • Recruit and hire exempt and non-exempt employees, conduct interviews and facilitate the hiring process.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefit-related issues.
  • Conduct New Employee Orientations, provide counseling on benefit options.
  • Coordinate new hire welcome packets, assist with introductions and scheduling.
  • Oversee annual open enrollment, communicate with employees, process changes with carriers, and update payroll.
  • Maintain HRIS records in ADP, generate reports as needed.
  • Review payroll for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and other regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in general HR functions.
  • High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ACA, and related regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.

Estimated Salary: $58,000 - $68,000 per year.

This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
