The Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Iceplex Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Iceplex maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and ensuring the overall upkeep of the Iceplex facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing various repairs, services, and general and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the Iceplex facilities are in good working condition.
  • Ensure regulatory standards are met concerning the storage and use of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs on all facility/utilities maintenance activities.
  • Perform snow and ice removal, as assigned.
  • Assure that proper procedures are followed for cleaning and maintaining the lobby, locker rooms, and restrooms according to checklists.
  • Sharpen skates and repair rental skates.
  • Assist with setups for special functions.
  • Responsible for covering specified shifts in the Pro Shop, including performing duties of sales clerk, responsibility for cash drawer, receipts, and deposits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the IcePlex Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous janitorial experience and familiarity with general maintenance procedures, tools, and/or equipment.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and tight quarters.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a strenuous job that requires climbing, pushing/pulling, and frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Nights and weekends are required, and the employee may need to work split shifts, night hours, or weekends to cover as needed.
