Medical Oncology Job Description

Epic Care, a physician-led group, is seeking a skilled APP (NP or PA) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in our medical oncology service line.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on hematology and medical oncology specialty care.
  • Perform physical exams, patient observations, and record patient medical histories and symptoms.
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care.
  • Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests, diagnose health issues, and detect changes in patient health.
  • Administer medicines and treatments, evaluate responses to treatments and medications, and consult with healthcare professionals.
  • Train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.
Qualifications
  • Oncology experience is preferred but not required; an appropriate degree from an accredited program and active NP and PA licensure in California are necessary.
  • Prescriptive authorization and an active DEA license are also required.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages is preferred, as well as proficiency with medical instruments and equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and electronic medical records is essential.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for working with medical partners, patients, and families.
