Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in refining our quality processes and will be responsible for overseeing inspections, managing product quality, and leading cross-departmental teams to ensure optimal product flow and ongoing enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster Continuous Improvement: Lead and guide teams to cultivate a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with procurement and quality teams to set and uphold supplier standards and objectives.
- Quality Issue Management: Spearhead initiatives to address supplier quality challenges and oversee internal product audits.
- Quality Assurance Oversight: Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and facilitate the qualification of new components through the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
- Data Management: Coordinate the collection of supplier quality data to support quality cost metrics.
- Conduct Audits: Plan and execute audits and evaluations of quality systems and processes.
- Data-Driven Improvements: Analyze product data to lead initiatives aimed at minimizing defects.
- Inspection Management: Direct Quality Leads in prioritizing inspection activities and refining inspection sampling strategies based on supplier performance.
- Product Traceability: Ensure accurate identification and traceability of products, maintaining integrity in testing and inspections.
- SAP Proficiency: Serve as a SAP Super User within the designated functional area.
- Standards Implementation: Develop and implement standardized tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting with a focus on APQP (Control Plan & PFMEA).
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, particularly in a manufacturing or supplier quality capacity.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing and quality metrics.
- Certification as a Quality Engineer or Technician.
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Certified Quality Auditor.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Proven ability to lead collaborative teams in a dynamic environment.
