Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented team member to join our Sandwich Line and Front of House team at Chicken Salad Chick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing a variety of food products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front of House / Service
    • Adhere to brand standards for uniform appearance and personal grooming.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
    • Be a team player—support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible.
    • Maintain cleanliness/sanitation standards.
    • Greet customers, take food/beverage orders, expedite orders, and assist with dining room service.
    • Properly operate the point-of-sale system for taking all types of customer orders.
    • Responsible for properly charging customers and for collecting payment for orders; cash, credit, or debit card transactions.
    • Answer the phone properly with the knowledge to assist customers with questions/information and take phone orders.
    • Interact with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
    • Restock drink stations and expo areas, maintain restroom cleanliness, empty trash cans, and help to keep the dining room and other customer areas clean.
    • Maintain proper product temperatures per standards.
    • Maintain portion control for products per standards.
    • Clean equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
    • Keep floors in work or service areas clean and free of debris.
    • Complete daily tasks timely and thoroughly in accordance with standards.
  • Sandwich Line
    • Adhere to brand standards for uniform appearance and personal grooming.
    • Complete duties on opening and closing prep and checklists.
    • Refer to the daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
    • Prepare a variety of food products, including chicken salads, pimento cheese, side salads, soups, sauces, cookies, desserts, and other items for cooking/serving to customers according to CSC recipe and product standards.
    • Understand and comply consistently with CSC standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare all customer orders with strict adherence to CSC standards for quality, portioning, and appearance standards.
    • Prepare all food products in accordance with CSC portion sizes and recipe specifications.
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, walls, steamers, sandwich lines, and refrigeration equipment.
    • Closing the line kitchen properly, following the closing checklist for the line kitchen, and assisting others in closing the kitchen.
    • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
    • Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to management.
    • Inform management immediately of product shortages.
    • Use our standard recipe cards for preparing all products. Do not rely on personal memory of other employees.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Prep / Production

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective written and oral communication skills;

Education and Experience

Restaurant experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility including bending and stooping for the duration of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift or carry 40 pounds.
