Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Purchasing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic procurement plan that aligns with BRC's mission and goals. This includes managing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a centralized procurement strategy that adds value and efficiency to BRC's operations
  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, contracting, and vendor management
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and terms
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including NYC purchasing policies and guidelines
  • Partner with Accounts Payable Director to facilitate procurement in Aestiva
  • Review purchase orders and invoices to ensure compliance with BRC's procurement process
  • Manage inventory of goods and services procured
  • Provide guidance and support with bid specifications and RFPs as needed
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure sufficient vendor representation to meet supplier diversity goals
Requirements
  • Significant related experience, with supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance
  • Experience with sourcing and procurement, building a vendor program, and contract negotiations
  • Solid analytical and computer skills
  • Strong communication and team building skills
  • Proficient with MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or similar certification
