Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director, Procurement Operations to join our team at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in procurement management, contract negotiation, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure effective and efficient procurement operations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the MTA's business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure best value for the MTA.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to procurement staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial/supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement management processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with the MTA's policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the MTA's collective bargaining procedures.
