Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Care Specialist to join our team at OrthoCincy. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Interact with patients and visitors in a respectful and professional manner.
Communicate effectively with patients, fellow workers, physicians, and others in the clinical environment.
Prepare the clinical area and patients for providers, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Record and update patient information, including medical, surgical, family, and social histories.
Perform clinical duties such as order entry, phlebotomy, injection draws, application of DME, suture removal, wound and dressing care.
Maintain strong communication skills with patients of all ages, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive patient experience.
Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical certification required, with one year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred.

Performance Expectations:
Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Exhibit strong follow-through discipline and tact in interpersonal interactions.
Possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Maintain a positive and professional image, with excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:
Medical office and exam/procedure room settings.

Mental/Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking 90% of the time.
Ability to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc.
Ability to remain focused and attentive without distractions.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
