Your primary responsibility will be to provide support to Radiologic and MRI Technologists, as well as patients, in obtaining high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

MRI Support:
Prepare the next day's MRI schedule by reviewing ordered exams and verifying lab results, if necessary, for contrast exams. Inform the technologist of any discrepancies and assist with patient preparation for exams, support patient screening per protocol, and secure personal belongings and position patients as needed.

Support Efficient Workflow:
Escort patients to and from exam and imaging rooms, assist with patient transfers or positioning when more than one person is needed, accurately perform data entry or scanning to EMR/PACS as required, and maintain imaging rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Communicate supply needs as necessary and process requests for imaging studies on CD received from staff or patients, maintaining related logs.

Initiative and Teamwork:
Seek out assignments and assume additional duties when possible, propose new ideas or suggest improvements to processes, and attempt to problem-solve independently before involving supervisors or vendors. Work cooperatively with coworkers, providers, and management, sharing knowledge and insights in a constructive manner. Provide coverage to the department, staying beyond scheduled ending times when clinic schedules demand it, volunteering to cover time off or unexpected absences, and maintaining workflow in the department without direct supervision.

Know and comply with policies and procedures as enumerated in the Orthopedic One Employee Handbook and policies and procedures documents. Provide assistance and support to leadership in implementing policies and procedures as necessary and actively participate in training and conducting day-to-day work activities by adhering to all policies and procedures as enumerated in compliance and risk management programs.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred qualifications include ARRT registry or eligibility to take registry for x-ray with interest in MRI specialty. Candidates working towards ARRT certification will be considered as well. Must maintain CPR/AED certification.
