We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Customer Quality Engineer to join our team at RTX. Key Responsibilities- Leverage quality best practices to influence business decision-makers and ensure efforts focus on customer priorities and mission success requirements.
- Communicate program goals, objectives, requirements, and customer feedback to all QA disciplines, cross-functional teammates, and the supply base to ensure alignment.
- Define and analyze QA metrics.
- Establish customer relations, process, and validate customer corrective action requests.
- Assess the impact of potential customer issues.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to independently ensure mission success.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Manage customer-funded improvement projects.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Department of Defense (DoD) government issued security clearance is required.
- Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have experiences with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, etc.
- Familiar with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing related documents.
- Active/Current Secret US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
- Familiarity and practical knowledge/experience using Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC, and DMADV) and or tools (e.g., ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis)
- Working experience with AS 9100 quality management systems, and experience in aerospace-related manufacturing environment, is a plus.
- Project Management Experience and PMP certification is a plus.
- Competitive salary range: $96,000 - $200,000
