Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Evidence Director to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving results by collating information from credible sources to provide evidence-based insights to inform contracting and performance improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate peer-reviewed journal articles, device manufacturer literature, FDA safety information, and internal data to generate strategic insights for our contract, category management, and consulting teams.
  • Understand medical product functions and intended uses within designated service lines to identify technical and clinically relevant product attributes.
  • Identify clinical gaps in contract portfolios and partner with our contracting teams to demonstrate value to supplier partners.
  • Communicate market dynamics, industry trends, and new technology insights to key stakeholders.
  • Support contract bid processes by conducting market research, determining key product attributes, reviewing cross-references for accuracy, and validating product efficacy and safety through data and evidence.
  • Support clinical performance improvement initiatives by identifying optimal evidence-based practices, operational efficiencies, financial performance, and service line growth and development.
  • Partner with the contracting team to solicit provider feedback and design supplier request for information questions during the contract bid process.
  • Develop evidence-based category analyses to support product standardization, conversion, and/or product utilization recommendations, driving member savings.
  • Develop variation reduction guidelines or recommendations used in consulting engagements.
  • Couple evidence analyses with Vizient's data capabilities to enable consulting teams to target unwarranted product variation, improve quality outcomes, and deliver savings to members.
  • Contribute to thought leadership publications and create category-specific collateral related to insights, expertise, and best practices, sharing knowledge with member and supplier communities.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or PhD in biomedical engineering, medical sciences/technology, nursing, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in surgical services service lines required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Estimated Hiring Range:

The estimated salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $194,200.00 annually, depending on location and individual circumstances.
