In this role, you will assist the Director of Nursing in delivering effective and efficient nursing care while ensuring positive clinical outcomes, as well as patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
- Report directly to the Director of Nursing
- Oversee, guide, and manage the clinical operations of the nursing units during your assigned shift, ensuring adherence to Genesis policies, procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
- Support the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, and facilitating communication with other departments.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing staff is maintained for safe, 24/7 care, with a focus on minimizing overtime and agency personnel usage.
- Engage in staff recruitment, new hire orientation, and provide recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with current registered nurse licensure from the State Board of Nursing.
A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience is required, with at least two years in long-term care nursing and one year in a management or supervisory role preferred.
A BSN is preferred. Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification and RN license.Other Info
