Job Summary

As an Environmental Technician at Terracon, you will play a key role in our team's efforts to solve engineering and technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include performing surveys and collecting data from the field, assisting with stream evaluations, and processing collected information into useful formats using AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and other software programs. You will also perform documented construction, stormwater control measures, and outfall inspections, as well as assist with drawings, permits, and submissions. If you have a passion for streams, stormwater, water supply, or wastewater treatment, and are willing to perform a variety of tasks including basic research, data collection, inspections, and field observations, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

High School diploma
Enrolled in college-level engineering or allied field
Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history

Skills and Experience We Want

Interest in streams, stormwater, water supply, or wastewater treatment
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks including basic research, data collection, inspections, and field observations
Ability or willingness to learn to work on various software platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, HydroCAD, HEC-HMS or other Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) programs)
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction, solve problems, and offer creative and innovative solutions
Collaborative attitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to occasionally travel and work overtime
