About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Area Supervisor to join our Supported Living Services team at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise employees who teach and assist clients in building skills necessary to live independently in their own home.
  • Oversee Supported Living Services that are provided in the individual's home and in varied community settings.
  • Develop and implement individual program plans to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Provide direct support, emergency on-call support, and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Train staff to teach independent life skills and maintain positive relationships with the people served.
  • Monitor and report on client progress and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and/or challenging behaviors.
  • Proven experience as a personal care assistant or in a related field.
  • Committed to health and safety and well-organized and reliable.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a positive and compassionate attitude.
  • Strong ethics and physical stamina, with the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a Live Scan DOJ/FBI background check and possess a valid California Driver's license.
