Radiology Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Nurse to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our Radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and direct care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients, providing a family-centered focus.
  • Assist and schedule Interventional Radiology cases performed in Radiology and the Heart Center Cath Lab.
  • Participate in Nursing and department PI activities, serving as a resource for clinical problem solving.
  • Represent Radiology on various committees and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hiring.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a pediatric RN, with excellent IV start skills for all ages.
