Job Summary

The Nurse Residency Program Coordinator will be responsible for attending all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participating in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully completing all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend all quality and core curriculum classes
  • Participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups
  • Complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements
  • Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team
  • Refine nursing knowledge and skills
  • Participate in managing clinical situations
  • Document and procedures in the clinical environment
  • Comply with Prisma Health's Compassion Standards, Mission, Vision and Values
  • Adhere to policy and procedure requirements
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina
  • BLS required
Accountabilities:
  • Assessment: Collects patient data and completes required forms
  • Planning Care: Develops a plan of care based on nursing process
  • Implementing/Managing Care: Provides treatments/procedures and other care as prescribed
  • Evaluation: Records patient care delivered as planned
  • Leadership: Delegates nursing care to appropriate personnel
Supervisory/Management Responsibility:

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
