We are seeking a skilled Batch Plant Operator to join our team at Wells. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our batch plant equipment, ensuring high-quality concrete production and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain batch plant equipment, including scales, motherboards, and electrical systems
- Monitor and control concrete mix consistency, ensuring desired SCC range and slump flow
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and reporting any issues to supervision
- Collaborate with QC lab technicians and Tuckerbilt operators to ensure smooth production and quality control
- Assist in scale calibration, cement silo maintenance, and inventory management
- May be required to operate heavy equipment and perform general labor duties as needed
- High School education preferred but not required
- Basic team skills and ability to follow complex instructions
- Basic planning and organization skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in an indoor/outdoor environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions
This is an indoor/outdoor work environment with exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust. The noise level is usually loud, and the employee must be able to wear PPE, including work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
