Job Description:

Job Summary:

  • The primary responsibility involves delivering IT training to adult learners within the organization on custom-developed and commercial applications.
  • Training will be provided by GDOT on these specific products.
  • The specialist will conduct training sessions for desktop, web, and mobile applications.
  • Identifying training needs, course offerings, and content development in collaboration with users is essential.
  • Managing training schedules and learner enrollments through the Learning Management System (LMS) is required.
  • Gathering feedback through training surveys to enhance training delivery and product quality is a key task.
  • Building relationships with various business units to boost class participation and address technical requirements is expected.
  • Facilitating vendor or contractor-led training sessions may also be part of the role.
  • Content development and maintenance for IT training materials are crucial responsibilities.
  • Creating engaging training resources such as presentations, guides, manuals, and videos is necessary.
  • Collaboration with technical staff to develop effective training content is important.
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, TechSmith Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate 360/Storyline is highly desired.
  • Accurate recordkeeping for tracking activities and performance indicators is required.
  • Working collaboratively within the IT team and reporting to a Team Leader/Supervisor is essential.
  • The training team consists of IT Trainers, Instructional Designers, and a Team Leader, delivering training on approximately 40 applications.
  • Training topics will encompass various aspects of transportation, including contract management, material testing, and emergency operations.
