Nursing Career Opportunities
Taking your nursing career to the next level as an Assistant Director of Nursing at Pierpont Center, you will support the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include serving as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing, ensuring compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate, and control the budget for the nursing department, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, and mentoring staff to achieve top-of-license practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current Registered Nurse/RN license by the State Board of Nursing. A minimum of 3 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience, including at least 2 years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting, is required. You must also have knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations. On-call availability is required.
