Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and replacement of electronic instrumentation and control systems typically utilized in industrial environments, including:

o Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment failures

o Performing alignments and adjustments using test and production equipment

o Reading and modifying PLC programs, with opportunities to develop new programs

o Data recording and analysis

o Adapting focus based on operational priorities


• Design and implement process monitoring and control systems utilizing specific instrumentation and communication devices. This includes installing, viewing, and maintaining PLC programs, as well as calibrating and repairing major electronic systems and their peripheral devices according to manufacturer specifications.


• Interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of major systems and subsystems.


• Provide technical expertise for the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of manufacturing instrumentation and process control systems.


• Drive improvements in system capabilities to enhance customer satisfaction, ensuring safe and reliable operations while boosting business competitiveness, employing Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

Qualifications:


• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument & Controls Technician or in a similar role, or an Instrumentation/Controls Associate's degree, or an Electronics Technician Associate's degree, or a combination of relevant education, experience, certifications, and licenses.


• Advanced understanding of PLC systems.


• Familiarity with Delta-V control modules and hardware, including the ability to create and modify screen displays to accommodate process changes and configure communication bitmapping between Delta-V and various control systems.


• Knowledge of K-Tron feeders and Smart Config.


• Proficiency with AMS (HART and Fieldbus) Software.


• Experience with Horner Compact PLC/HMI systems.


• Background in process control, instrumentation, and familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, Panel View, Control Logic, Rosemont, Pi, KDAT, etc.


• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.


• Proficient in mathematical functions, including fractions and decimals.


• Demonstrated analytical troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.


• Ability to record and analyze data effectively.


• Capability to align and adjust various equipment as necessary.


• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.


• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.


• Proficient in software applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
