Position Overview

The Digital Modernization Group at Leidos is on the lookout for a Lead Industrial Security Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security integrity of our operations and supporting a high-profile program dedicated to the U.S. Navy.

Based primarily at a key facility, the selected candidate will also provide support to various local sites. This position involves collaboration with a diverse security project team to oversee personnel, physical, and industrial security measures within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on security matters, including classified inventory management, document control, and personnel access protocols.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed reports and recommendations for security enhancements.
  • Develop training materials and deliver security briefings to personnel with collateral clearances.
  • Support and lead internal investigations in compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document security requirements for various applications and systems.
  • Engage with internal partners and military commands to devise effective strategies for mitigating security vulnerabilities.
  • Represent the security team in project meetings, providing professional insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct site inspections at government and contractor facilities to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining internal policy documents and standard operating procedures related to industrial security.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding facility access requirements and security measures.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or a Master's degree with prior experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with security regulations and directives, including NISPOM and Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Experience with government personnel security systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve program objectives.
  • Technical expertise in electronic physical security systems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with personnel at all levels.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DOD Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in personnel, industrial, or physical security.
  • Experience in government environments and familiarity with Navy Marine Corps Intranet.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize security issues effectively.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is between $78,000 and $141,000, reflecting the level of expertise and experience required.
