As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality laboratory services that are essential for patient care. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient operation of our advanced emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise and timely laboratory tests, ensuring adherence to established protocols and turnaround times.
- Take charge of departmental responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient test results.
- Execute urgent procedures within specified timeframes.
- Utilize sound judgment and independent reasoning to interpret and correlate patient results, including performing necessary checks.
- Monitor pending logs and resolve outstanding tasks effectively.
- Implement quality control measures and manage critical laboratory specimens and test outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate Degree is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- Less than one year of experience in a laboratory setting is acceptable.
- A valid State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is advantageous, with a preference for Generalist.
