Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Next GenHealth Staffing. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures, interpreting results, and taking appropriate actions to ensure accurate and timely patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all approved laboratory procedures in assigned areas of licensure, requiring a high degree of theoretical knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Exercise independent judgment under minimum to moderate degree of supervision, demonstrating skills in performing routine procedures and interpreting results.
  • Organize workload to achieve efficiency and report results in a timely manner according to patient needs.
  • Exercise judgment to determine the acceptability or rejection of results, requesting assistance when needed from more experienced medical technologists or technical manager.
  • Perform, record, and document corrective action when quality control results are not within defined limits, adhering to established policies, procedures, and CAP proficiency guidelines.
  • Follow best practice methodologies prescribed, demonstrating skill and ability to follow laboratory compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper operation for high-quality test performance by performing daily maintenance, while ensuring an awareness of supply stock and replenishing methods.
Requirements
  • A 2 Year/Associate Degree is required, with a 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
  • Less than 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist, with a State of Florida Technologist License required.
  • Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas, with Generalist highly preferred.
Compensation

Salary Range: $27.09- $32.51 (3-4 years) -$34.67 (6-8+ years)

Shift Diff: $4.00 for Nights

Current Sign-On: $5,000
