Residential Construction Superintendent Job Description

Skillforce Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled Residential Construction Superintendent to join our team in Salisbury and Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience with custom homes, excellent communication skills, and a strong leadership presence. As a Residential Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed within their timeframe, budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Supervise daily construction activities and manage personnel, resolving on-site conflicts that may arise.
  • Coordination and Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule with subcontractors and deliveries to ensure project adherence to the timeline.
  • Progress Updates: Provide updates to management by monitoring project timelines and budgets.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections of work to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation (daily logs and reports).
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide project updates.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain safe and productive job sites and foster positive relationships.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in residential projects.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED) are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 annually based on skillset and experience.
  • Benefits: Weekly pay, paid time off and holiday pay, referral program, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k.
