KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, administering prescribed medications and treatments in line with established nursing protocols.
- Ensure exam rooms are well-stocked and maintained, preparing necessary medical supplies and equipment for patient care.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatments to the medical team, providing education to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Facilitate patient flow by greeting individuals, preparing them for examinations, and collecting relevant information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring all test results and examination notes are properly filed.
- Handle incoming patient inquiries related to treatment, providing guidance on medications and care instructions.
- Perform clerical tasks as needed, including the preparation of various forms and correspondence.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance skills and knowledge through cross-training and in-service education.
EDUCATION:
Must possess an RN or LPN degree; BSN is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is required, with clinic experience being advantageous.
LICENSURE:
Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of nursing theories, regulations, and practices for effective patient care.
- Awareness of safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Ability to apply nursing principles and techniques for ongoing patient support.
