KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, administering prescribed medications and treatments in line with established nursing protocols.
  2. Ensure exam rooms are well-stocked and maintained, preparing necessary medical supplies and equipment for patient care.
  3. Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatments to the medical team, providing education to patients and their families regarding health management.
  4. Facilitate patient flow by greeting individuals, preparing them for examinations, and collecting relevant information.
  5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring all test results and examination notes are properly filed.
  6. Handle incoming patient inquiries related to treatment, providing guidance on medications and care instructions.
  7. Perform clerical tasks as needed, including the preparation of various forms and correspondence.
  8. Adhere to OSHA regulations and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  9. Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Collaborate with team members to enhance skills and knowledge through cross-training and in-service education.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Must possess an RN or LPN degree; BSN is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is required, with clinic experience being advantageous.

LICENSURE:

Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of North Carolina.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  1. Understanding of nursing theories, regulations, and practices for effective patient care.
  2. Awareness of safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  3. Ability to apply nursing principles and techniques for ongoing patient support.
  4. Competence in problem-solving and proposing effective solutions.
  5. Proficiency in record-keeping, report writing, and correspondence.

  7. Capability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  8. Strong communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
